Description: | Human TRAIL protein, expressed in E. coli |
Further Information: | The protein encoded by Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein preferentially induces apoptosis in transformed and tumor cells, but does not appear to kill normal cells although it is expressed at a significant level in most normal tissues. The binding of this protein to its receptors has been shown to trigger the activation of MAPK8/JNK, caspase 8, and caspase 3. |

Storage: | Lyophilized Human TRAIL proteinshould be stored desiccated below -20 C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4 C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20 C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.20% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
