Beclin 1 [1-450 a.a.], Recombinant Protein

Partner: NKMax Bio (ATGen)

Applications:SDS-PAGE
Species Reactivity:Human
MW:54.1 kDa (470aa)
Purity:> 85% by SDS - PAGE
Description:BECN1, also as known as Beclin-1 and autophagy-related gene (Atg) 6, belongs to the beclin family. This protein plays a central role in autophagy. Beclin-1 and its binding partner class III phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), also named Vps34, are required for the initiation of the formation of the autophagasome in autophagy. Also it required for the abcission step of cytokinesis. BECN1 plays a role in antiviral host defense. Recombinant human BECN1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional column chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.
