Vantage™ microRNA Analysis Products

microRNAs (or miRs) are a class of small molecules, about 21-23 nucleotides in length that regulate gene expression in a variety of manners including translational repression, mRNA cleavage, methylation, and deadenylation. View microRNA pathway diagram.

Marligen’s Vantage™ products offer researchers a comprehensive solution for microRNA analysis.Total or low molecular weight RNAs can be isolated using Marligen’s simple, rapid purification methods. The Vantage™ microRNA Labelling Kit directly labels total or enriched samples with multiple biotins to give the utmost sensitivity in profiling microRNA expression.  Marligen’s disease-specific Multiplex Detection Panels are formatted on the Luminex xMAP® platform to rapidly and accurately profile the expression levels of microRNAs.  The full process from purification to detection can be completed in less than 4 hours and more than a hundred samples can be processed in just one day. The Vantage™ Total RNA and microRNA Purification Kits provide rapid and effective methods of isolating RNAs without the use of phenol or chloroform.  Marligen’s Total RNA kit purifies all sizes of RNA, from large mRNA and ribosomal RNA down to microRNA and small interfering RNA (siRNA). The microRNA Purification Kit specifically isolates and purifies low molecular weight (LMW) RNAs that include the regulatory RNAs such as microRNA and siRNA. The purified LMW RNAs can be used in various downstream application including gene regulation and functional analysis studies.

The Vantage™ microRNA Labelling Kit utilizes a proprietary labelling technology to provide exceptional sensitivity for the detection of endogenous microRNAs. This method can label any RNA sample including total RNA, enriched LMW RNA, amplified sense RNA and degraded RNA in 45 minutes.  The simple protocol consists of just two steps.  The 3’end of the RNA is polyA tailed followed by the ligation of biotinylated 3DNA™ dendrimers containing 15 biotins to provide signal amplification.  The biotinylated RNA is suitable for multiple downstream applications including profiling microRNA expression levels on the xMAP® platform.

Marligen’s Vantage™ Multiplex Detection Panels are disease-specific microRNA profiling panels formatted on the Luminex xMAP® platform. These fast, simple hybridization assays are ready for detection on the Luminex™ reader within 90 minutes.  When coupled with Marligen’s Vantage™ Labelling Kit these assays can detect microRNAs in as little as 100ng total RNA without the need for enrichment or amplification.

Individual assays in Vantage™ microRNA Multiplex Detection Panels can be configured into Custom-Mixed microRNA Detection Panels.  For example, ten microRNAs can be selected from the total list and reconfigured into a single custom-mixed panel.  Choose as many assays as you like from the full assay list and send the list to Insight Biotechnology for a custom quotation. Once you have chosen your specific microRNAs, Marligen scientist’s will reconfigure the panels to your specifications, manufacture reagents, validate performance, and send you a complete package ready for use.
