Part 2B: Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (For lowest price possible, contract these services through Insight Biotechnology)

Insight Biotechnology is pleased to provide our customers with access to revolutionary Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody technology from Epitomics.  This proprietary technology is considered, by many leading scientists to be the future of monoclonal antibody production.  Using this platform, it is possible to generate antibodies which have higher affinities and lower backgrounds on a routine basis, when compared with those produced using standard techniques such as mouse hybridoma technology. 

Using Rabbit Monoclonal Technology, customers can contract development of custom antibodies for diverse applications right from the conceptual stage of the project.  These range from simple immuno-precipitation and Western blotting, to more complex applications such as immuno-fluorescence and immuno-histochemistry, as well as bioactive and idiotype antibodies.  With this technology is also possible to generate high quality antibodies raised against sites which have been post translationally modified by phosphorylation, methylation, acetylation and glycosylation.  Epitomics can also generate these types of antibodies with the previously stated applications in mind, right from the outset.

Stage

Part 4.  Antibody Phage Display

Phage display provides a direct physical link between phenotype and genotype by utilizing the ability to display genes on the surface of bacteriophage. Why use phage display to make recombinant antibody? Traditional ways for preparing antibodies are cumbersome, labour intensive, amount limited and unstable of antibody and animal use. It is now possible to create antibodies binding to any chosen target antigen without the use of laboratory animals or hybridomas, in a system that completely by-passes the immune system. Therefore, antibodies can be displayed on phage in form of single chain antibody (scFv) or Fab' fragments using the system. It allows us to quickly construct different format of antibody libraries. It gives new possibilities for providing novel binders to almost any antigen, including those that are poorly immunogenic or non-immunogenic, self-antigen or 'difficult' targets.

Part 5. Antibody Engineering

In antibody engineering, molecular biology approaches are used to improve the function of antibody molecules by altering their amino acid sequence or fussing them to other functional peptides or proteins.  The affinity and specificity with which antibodies recognize antigens, their stability in various environmental conditions, their therapeutic efficacy, and their detection in diagnostic applications may thus be enhanced.  The platform provides opportunity for the isolation of genes encoding the specific antibody, which therefore creates the ability to redesign, enhance or alter specific antibody function.
