Multiplex Transcription Factor Services

Marligen’s Multiplex Transcription Factor Testing Services allows customers easy access to their patented transcription factor profiling technology.  Marligen’s Multiplex Transcription Factor Assays employ a powerful multiplexing approach for simultaneously measuring the binding of many different transcription factors to their unique regulatory DNA elements. This technology dramatically accelerates studies ranging from basic research in signal transduction and proteomics to target validation, compound screening, toxicity testing and disease characterization (read more). 

Marigen scientists can profile up to 50 transcription factor activities in one sample with their testing services.  Expert scientific staff will prepare extracts from your samples at Marligen, or provide technical support if you wish to prepare your own extracts.  They will also perform the assays and assist you with the data analysis.  Please click here for information on sample preparation and shipping arrangements.

Transcription Factor Kits are also available in single analyte or multiplex format for you to perform your own assays.

Once your order is placed Marligen’s research and development scientists will consult with you to identify appropriate sample handling and shipping before the samples are prepared for testing.

Custom Transcription Factor Assay Development

Marligen can design and develop transcription factor assays on several platforms including microplates for single analyte detection, or for multiplex detection on planar arrays or the  xMAP® platform.

Marligen has developed more than 50 transcription factor assays that can be multiplexed using Luminex’s xMAP® platform. We can custom mix any or all of these individual assays to make a custom panel to meet your research needs.

Marligen’s transcription factor assay technology utilizes a strategy similar to nuclease protection assays featuring DNA binding probes:

• For known transcription factor sites, Marligen’s scientists can mine transcription factor databases to determine binding probes with the greatest affinity and specificity for your needs.
• If you have a proprietary DNA binding site(s), Marligen can develop assays that utilize your specific sequence or sequences
